Biography
Shannon is a graduate student in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences at the University of Illinois studying equity outcomes in the transition to renewable energy in Illinois under Dr. McKenzie Johnson. She also works on the iSEE Energy Team to progress the Illinois Climate Action Plan and is developing an Environmental Justice engagement and research initiative for undergraduates. Shannon holds a BS in Biology with a minor in Environmental Sciences from Emory University, and is an AmeriCorps alumna. She primarily focuses on issues around energy and environmental justice.
