Biography

Glenn Adams is Professor of Psychology at the University of Kansas, where he is director of the Cultural Psychology Research Group and has been active in the leadership of the Kansas African Studies Center. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Sierra Leone before completing his Ph.D. in Social Psychology at Stanford University based on field research that he conducted in Ghana. His work draws on a variety of conceptual tools (e.g., cultural psychology, critical race theory, decolonial theory) to illuminate and resist the racism/coloniality of everyday life in the Eurocentric modern order.
