IGI Centers and Programs offer Fellowships and Scholarships specific to their areas of study.

Center for African Studies (CAS)

Bokamba Fund

The Fund shall support scholarships for second year master’s completing their MA theses and or third year PhD graduate students completing their PhD dissertations in the Units. The Fund may also be used as travel scholarships for conference expenses or other professional development travel expenses. Recipients shall be in their final semester of their master’s in the Center for African Studies or PhD thesis writing process in the Department of Linguistics, and shall be focused on African Linguistics (e.g. the core grammar of Sub-Saharan languages, sociolinguistics) or African studies generally.

Eric P. Whitaker Fund
